Tips for a clean result
- Import the SVG, then set filled areas to engrave and outlines to score or cut.
- Test on scrap of the same material. Dark woods hide detail that shows beautifully on maple or birch.
- For people and pets, crop so the face fills most of the photo before you upload.

- Use a V-carve toolpath for detail and a pocket or clearing pass for large open areas.
- Detail smaller than your bit can’t be carved. Bold, simple images carve cleaner.
- Scale the SVG to final size before setting toolpaths so you can see what will hold up.

- Upload the SVG as a cut image and size it on the canvas before you cut.
- Very thin pieces are hard to weed, so pick bolder images for small decals.
- Use Weld or Slice to combine the design with your own text.

How does the credit system work?
Credits are used to preview and download your SVGs. Most images come out right on the first preview, so plan on about one credit per finished SVG. Plans refill monthly, and you can add a one-time top-up anytime.
Do I get free credits to try it?

What does “three tries or it’s free” mean?
If you’ve previewed an image three times and still don’t like the result, send it through Manual Fix. One of our vector designers will clean it up by hand at no extra cost.
What kind of images work best?
Sharp, well-lit photos with one main subject and a simple background, at least 1,000 pixels wide. Crop close to what you want.
